The Caladh Inn is one of only a few Stornoway hotels of any size (the others will soon be listed below). This Stornoway hotel business services which include a meeting room, fax and photocopying services, laundry and dry cleaning, and my favorite service, packed lunches (great for a busy day) but no Internet access.

The Caladh Inn is the largest hotel in Stornoway with a total of 68 rooms (available from £72) and is within easy reach of both Stornoway airport and the ferry terminal. The hotel offers a wide range of facilities including all the usual facilities and services expected of such a hotel: Restaurant, breakfast buffet, breakfast in room, free parking (important), a bar and more. It should be noted that all public and private spaces are non-smoking.
The Cabarfeidh Hotel is my favorite Stornoway hotel and is widely known as Stornoway's finest hotel. The Cabarfeidh hotel offers free wireless broadband and the same business class services such as photocopying and packed lunches. However the Cabarfeidh has much better conference facilities and regularly hosts important business conferences, trade shows. The function rooms are also extremely popular for weddings (there is a bridal suite), dances and clan gatherings.

The Cabarfeidh Hotel can be found just on the outskirts of Stornoway (if you want a town centre hotel the Caladh Inn and the Royal Hotel would be more suitable).
The Royal Hotel is Stornoway's most historic hotel with a great many period features. Like the other two Stornoway hotels listed here, the Royal offers a wireless Internet connection (crucial for businessmen). Situated right at the very heart of Stornoway, close to the marina (shown in our Stornoway section), the Royal offers the usual array of facilities and services, such as, fax and photocopying, laundry and dry cleaning, restaurant and bar and also packed lunches.

The Royal Hotel, Stornoway, was built in 1845 but has been fully modernised to offer luxurious accommodation and the most friendly Hebridean atmosphere. With fantastic views of Stornoway harbour and the Lews Castle grounds, the Royal is surprisingly relaxing while also being extremely accessible to the town centre (200 metres). While you are staying at the Royal you should take the opportunity to experience their cuisine at the Boatshed Restaurant, if you prefer a more lively place to eat try the HS1 cafe bar.
