Downstairs BedroomDownstairs features a bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, chair, bookcase, hairdriers and clock radio. Now you may not have considered this but the fresh clean sea air on the Isle of Harris can be somewhat intoxicating. If you are from a busy city then you will notice it most. From the minute you arrive at the ferry from the Isle of Skye (which docks at Tarbert) you will begin to feel relaxed. After only a few hours you should be totally relaxed and, over the next few days you may well feel more tired and relaxed than usual. This is normal but you will most certainly appreciate the fact that the main bedroom is downstairs rather than upstairs.

Just think, you could be relaxing watching one of the many glorious sunsets that we get in this part of the world until you feel just ready to fall into bed. Of course the downstairs bedroom will be most appreciated by those visitors who are less mobile, or maybe the elderly but even the fully fit and able bodied will appreciate it, especially if they have spent the day walking the hills on North Harris.

Besides walking there are a great many sports such as wind surfing, surfing and cycling, which can be enjoyed on the Isle of Harris. Really you are only limited by your imagination.

Living Room

The living room: As you can see from the photograph to the right this self catering accommodation on the Isle of Harris has a charming living room featuring a coal effect electric fire, sideboard and nest of tables and an uplighter with a small reading lamp.

The living room features a comfortable 3 piece suite TV video and DVD player. We suspect that you will not be watching many DVD's as there is simply so much to do on Harris. In the evenings the peace and quiet is to be enjoyed and most city dwellers will notice how much nicer the night sky looks here. Without all of the light pollution the stars appear more dimensional and you will see thousands more than you would in the city. Shooting stars can be seen clearly if you are lucky enough you may even see the northern lights.
