Glen Carragrich - Harris Self Catering Accommodation
Glen Carragrich is a wonderful self catering property found just outside the small town of Tarbert on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides/Western Isles of Scotland. This self catering accommodation could be described as a cottage or a house and is a traditionally built building, of the crofthouse style, of superb character built around 80 years of ago but fully modernised to excellent standards.
Set in an amazing situation there are only three houses within the vicinity (with the nearest being some 200 yeards away from the cottage). As you can see in the photograph to the left the garden of Glen Carragrich is fenced off with access to the side of the property where there is to be found a parking area.
Glen Carragrich offers 3 bedroom self catering accommodation on the Isle of Harris. As well as the three bedrooms the property has comfortable living room, spacious kitchen, bathroom with bath and an over the bath shower and a porch.

As you can see from the photograph to the right Glen Carragrich has the most amazing views out across the water. The Isle of Harris is renowned for it's beauty and especially it's sunsets and sunrises which are very often spectacular. Glen Carragrich is perfectly situated for you to enjoy this most amazing natural phenomenon.
I would also like to point out that if you plan to stay self catering at Glen Carragrich you really must arrive equiped with a reasonable set of binoculars so that you can watch the wonderful wildlife. Luckily, just in case you forget or do not own them you will find a pair of binoculars for your use while visiting.

Glen Carragrich Accommodation Details
Glen Carragrich has 3 double bedrooms, one is situated on the ground floor and the remaining 2 bedrooms are found on the first floor. Each bedroom features a comfortable double sized bed with a duvet and bedside cabinets with a bedside lamp on each side.
Other furniture includes a dressing table or chest of draws and chairs. More storage space can be found in the upstairs, walk in cupboard (which contains the boiler). You will find extra blankets clothes and airer and other equipment in the cupboard. All bedding, linen and towels are included in the price.
Each bedroom also has a clock radio and a hairdryer. Each room (except the porch) is fitted with an electric heater and the electricity supply is metered (but it will already contain at least £15 when you arrive and further tokens can be purchased at the local post office). Some other sundry items such as toilet paper, soap, washing up liquid, bin liners and the likes will also be provided.

E-mail: glencarragrich@aol.comThe kitchen is rather spacious with a dining area (including dining table and chairs) and two windows. One of the windows has an excellent view out to sea.
The kitchen is fitted with all modern fixures and fittings including a washing machine, tumble drier, cooker, fridge (with ice box), steam iron, toaster, toastie maker, tin opener and even a Kenwood chef with liquidizer, if you feel like baking. Of course there are plenty cups, mugs, dishes cutlery etc.
The living room has a coal effect electric fire and an uplighter with a small reading lamp. A comfortable 3 piece suite, chair and a dresser can also be found in the living room. Most visitors are happy to hear that there is also a satellite television and video in the room but we hope that you will be far too busy enjoying yourself visiting the many gorgeous places found on the Isle of Harris to watch TV.
You will also find a table and chairs in the porch together with a small bookcase with books as well as board games, perfect for the evenings but also rather handy if you, unfortunately, experience a rainy day.
