Isle of Mull Accommodation

Calgary Bay (Traigh Chalgaraidh) on the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides of ScotlandThe Isle of Mull is a highly popular vacation destination in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It is the second largest island of the group, which is located just off the west coast of Scotland, and it is the fourth largest island in Scotland and the UK.

The largest population centre on the Isle of Mull is the town of Tobermory, renowned for its colourful harbourside buildings. While much of the island's population resides in the town the total population of Mull is actually little more than two and a half thousand. During the summer months the number of tourists tend to make the island appear far more populated than it actually is but it is still possible to find yourself islolated in some of the most beautiful spots in Scotland.

Many visitors to the Isle of Mull choose to stay on the island while they explore some of the other islands such as the immensely popular Iona. One thing which we strongly advise is that you take the opportunity to spend some time watching whales as the Isle of Mull is one of the finest places in the United Kingdom to indulge in a little whale watching and there are usually a handful of boats offering the service throughout the summer months.
